SPEAKER_04Only on Talk 94.5 and 106.7. Trapping and weather together on Talk 94.5.
SPEAKER_03Well morning today. Let's take a look at your forecast here. Span roofing, and name that's been protecting roofs since 1957. Schedule your free home roof inspection today. Roofing that spans a lifetime. We do have some scattered thunderstorms, some boomers coming our way. Some parts of the area's already got some this morning. We're expecting most of ours here across the beach uh a little later this afternoon. So there you go. We got some uh, you know, dangerous lightning, some gusty winds, that kind of thing. About the same thing expected tomorrow. This week, actually, is gonna be kind of stormy. We've got a 40 to 60 to 70% chance of rain all the way through. Heading in to even the weekend, the temperature's hovering right around 90, so that's where we're at. And they've got their eyes on the tropics.
SPEAKER_04Here comes the Liz Callaway show with Nick Summers. Making Grand Strand Morning Radio great again. Liz Callaway, Nick Summers. Picking up your wake up with news, opinion, and insight every weekday morning on Talk 94.5 106.7.
SPEAKER_16It is 6.07 on the Liz Callaway Show with Nick Summers. Welcome to your Monday. All right, Nikki. All right, Lizzie. Good morning. Good morning. How many of you went and saw Trump over the weekend? Tell us what your experience was on the budget blinds. Text line, 843-798-TALK-798-8255. I never heard back from the Darlene camp regarding an interview. I sent a couple of text messages via their website and some other um uh I don't I think it was Facebook. Facebook, and I did send her through her her website, and uh haven't heard back from them. I did hear back from Ralph Norman, so he's gonna be joining us live uh tomorrow at um 8 a.m. Nice. So Ralph Norman, Congressman Ralph Norman, who's running for Senate. Tomorrow is election day. Um by the way, uh Nikki, 805 um our mission ready segment is canceled today. Oh, okay. In case I forget to tell you, I will see. Um Richard cannot make it today, but we will have uh the 15th Circuit solicitor Jimmy Richardson joining us. Nice. I asked uh I asked him when I was like confirming um, hey, did you get to see Trump on? He goes, I stay away from politics. Um and I and he is that he is an elected official, so there is a point where you have to run. Um but but uh he'll be joining us at 835. All right. All right.
SPEAKER_03I promised a little update on uh the Atlantic Basin. We've got uh we're way behind schedule. Do you want a little audio on this? This is from Fox Weather. They got their eyes on a couple of things that are brewing. Let's just listen to a little bit of this. I like brew. But do you? Which kind? Coffee brew. Coffee brew. There you go. All right, so this was on Saturday because we've got even some of the local folks taking a look at uh 50-50 chance of something coming up, and it could be named Dolly. Wow. Well, hello, Dolly. Yeah. Anyway, here we go.
SPEAKER_13All right, well, let's take you over to the tropics for a moment. Fox weather is your hurricane HQ, and El Nino is continuing to bully the Atlantic as we approach the peak of hurricane season. That is September 10th. We are officially behind schedule in terms of the fact that we would usually get a hurricane by about August 11th. And right now we're August 22nd. So we have some time. The tropics, though, they are fighting back. We do have a few areas to watch, all low-end chances for development, so no major concerns on the board. But we do have a medium chance for a few tropical waves that are going to be moving off the coast of Africa. Uh, but even then, the overall steering current should move this away from land.
SPEAKER_03So there you go. So no real threats to us, but they got some stuff brewing. Goodness. But nothing really, uh, what do they call them? Fish storms? They just kind of head out to sea.
SPEAKER_16Yeah.
SPEAKER_03The one that's at the 40% chance, and now they're saying up to 50%. That one looks like it's aimed kind of at the Puerto Rico area, but it's too early to tell. But nothing for us. But what I found interesting is what she said. It's we're like way behind schedule. We should have already had one. And it's already what, the 24th. So interesting.
SPEAKER_16Okay.
SPEAKER_03All right, that's it.
SPEAKER_16All right. Uh, very, very sad news coming out yesterday. I'm gonna try and get through this without crying. Um, it's just been like so sad for this family, and uh, for those of you who have that experience of bringing your um high school graduate to their new dorm, and you have this exciting move-in day, and uh then you you leave your child at a uh a dorm, and you're like, okay, um, you know, be good, be careful, and all these things, all the excitement leading up to this fact, and only to find out hours after you leave them and go to your hotel room before you head back home to New Jersey, that that your daughter and her friend were victims of a hit and run drunk driver at midnight their first night at their dorm. Um and that poor family got the call that their daughter was hospitalized and when they went to the um I th I I think I believe the way it the story goes is they um I don't know the condition of the other girl, but I'm talking about Kalina Trent right now from New Jersey. Um I think they had a stop at Conway to stabilize her. Um and then they continued on to Grand Strand. And I don't know if she ever regained consciousness, but she was on life support. She had multiple broken bones, as you can imagine, being hit by a car. And um I believe at some point they did all these tests to realize that there she there was no coming back from her injuries. And uh her family was told that, and uh they had to have, you know, they had all the family from all over the country come here to uh say their goodbyes. And uh the mother said in the Facebook post that uh she was originally approached about organ donation. She said no. She said she had some kind of sign from Kalina that she couldn't really explain uh at that moment, but she said uh she was encouraged to go ahead and do the organ donation, and she did. And I had seen a post, that's what the post I'd seen was the mother inviting everybody from the CCU community to come on out and and line the walls of the path that Kalina's um Gurney would take to the organ donation process, which would then of course end her life, um, that they believed was unsustainable. Um so they kept her alive long enough to have family come and to retrieve her organs to save probably dozens of people. Um and um that's the story. She passed away. Twenty-one-year-old uh Kalina Trent was pronounced dead uh soon after that, yesterday, uh Saturday evening. And uh now 17-year-old Mauricio Palafix uh Correa was um uh arrested and charged with um leaving the scene of an accident um without notifying the police, not stopping to render aid, and uh he was later crashed his vehicle and then they connected him to that DUI. Now I don't know the condition of Maddie, so please continue. And I believe that's her name because the mother um of Kalina um called her by name Maddie. So um she's also 21. They were attempting to cross Highway 544. It has brought up tremendous anger against Ori County Council and CCU. Now I don't know if they are culpable in the f in not building this pedestrian bridge fast enough, but um it seems like every year, if you live here long enough, you have someone fall off a hotel bank uh balcony, you have drownings in resort pools, you have drownings in the ocean, drownings in the Wacoma River, single car wrecks in a ditch overturned, and a fatality on 544 with a college student or some kind of accident on the with a college student crossing the street. Um it seems like every year it's you know, it's something like that, and it's just horribly, horribly sad. And so uh there are people saying, I hope you sue the university, and the university president said, I contacted the Army Corps of Engineers because I think there was another accident with a pedestrian like a couple of months ago, and he said that he had he they have all the money, they're just trying to expedite it with the or Army Corps of Engineers, the permitting process. Now, ever since I've lived here, this type of tragedy has happened over and over and over again since I moved here in 2013. I said, Why don't they build a pedestrian bridge? But it's not even that big of a road. How much could it possibly cost? You know, it just has to be bigger than a tractor trailer. What's the problem? What you know, why is there such a holdup? And they said, Well, we took a survey. I remember President DeShenzo. We took a survey, and they said, even if there's a pedestrian bridge, we're not gonna use it. Don't bother, no, no, we're not gonna use it. And you know what? Yeah, they will. Because the road has become, especially after 2020, the road is just so incredibly busy, and it's very hard to cross a five-lane highway, and sometimes you end up in the middle waiting. I mean, I don't know what their circumstances were, but sometimes they're not crossing by the light, sometimes they're not crossing in in you know, a lit corner, uh sometimes you have a distracted driver, sometimes you have a drunk driver, or CBD drink driver. I mean it's it's maddening what's happening. Um and you're taking your life into your own hands by doing that. So I'm just saying this. Um just build it. What is the problem? What is the permitting problem? How many more young people, how many more families and parents have to suffer with this? It's like just build it, they will use it. They will use it. There's so many kids in apartments across the street from CCU. Just build the darn thing already. So I don't know what's gonna happen um and how long it's gonna take, but we have uh one 21-year-old woman fighting for her life and another one dead.
SPEAKER_03So it's so horrific. It's horrible. You can't even put words on it.
SPEAKER_16No.
SPEAKER_03Easily preventable in so many areas.
SPEAKER_16Oh gosh. So I was uh, you know, it's 5 45 Saturday night. That's all I was thinking about. Because that's when everybody was supposed to line up for that honor walk. Um by the way, we had a similar accident, um, a similar charge, I should say, for an accident. Uh a woman has been arrested. She was the one who caused the car to avo she jet um jetted across one of those streets. I I think it was 501, Highway 90, I can't remember. Um, and she drove across the road, I think it was by Enoch Road or and she caused a a Tahoe with four people in it, four young people, to swerve to miss her car. And she knew she caused this wreck and didn't stop and kept going. And even if she was not the person who caused the wreck, she still kept on going. She didn't actually hit the hit the car, but the car swerved to miss her, and because of that, a 19-year-old was killed in that car wreck. She was killed in that car wreck, and there were three other people in there that survived. I don't know what their conditions are. She was arrested for the same thing. Leaving the scene of an accident without notifying law enforcement um or stopping to render aid. Um, and I don't have her name in front of me, but um we had a 19-year-old, I think she's a local. Uh, okay, I have it right here. Um her name is 42-year-old Kalea Douglas. Failure to yield the right of way, failure to give information and render aid and duties of a driver involved in an accident, resulting in death. It was on 501 at Enoch Road, and um the car flipped, went off the road, hit a ditch, overturned. Typical accident here. 19-year-old Sadie Graham. She was a front passenger in the tow tar in the Tahoe. They all had their seatbelts on, but she ended up being partially ejected in the smashing of the windows and overturning. So that woman was released on a bond. $15,000 bond. Yeah. That's it. More than 300 people lined the hallways of Grand Strand Hospital.
SPEAKER_03I saw some of the images.
SPEAKER_16Yeah. And actually, those are the hospital-released images because they don't let the media go in there. Um, so it must have been heart wrenching. So okay, it is 621. We're gonna take a break and we'll be back in a moment. Trump came all the way here with his Air Force One and his motorcade and all the Secret Service.
SPEAKER_03And brought Caroline.
SPEAKER_16Caroline Levitt, yeah. Yep. She's got a new job. She's gonna be the person in charge of a pack so she could do all the surrogate uh interviews once again to get us through the midterms. We just heard about that when she finishes her um her uh whatchamacallit. Um tenure as the press secretary. Yeah, there you go. We got you had asked the still not vote for Darlene, though.
SPEAKER_03No, no. Uh you had asked the uh budget blinds text line. Uh let us know. What'd you think? What'd you think? And uh it was great. Paul sent us some pictures. He said it was great. He had a great time. Chrissy had a different point of view. She said, Darlene was absolutely awful. Spoke for maybe five minutes. Tim Scott was very enthusiastic. Uh I felt bad for Russell Fry having to promote her being Darlene. Uh, we definitely needed to get out of votes. Yes, Chrissy. Wow. So uh she was there and she enjoyed it. She loved the fact that uh as she was said right here. She she ended her whole little post or text. I was more excited to see Caroline. Awesome. So uh again, and but Paul, you know, had a different take. He said it was great, loved it, posted a bunch of pictures, uh, has met a new bestie named named James there. They're hanging out in the front row. And so there you go. Two different points of view, different sides of the spectrum. So there you have it.
SPEAKER_16So Paul said he's voting for Darlene.
SPEAKER_03Uh he didn't say he was voting for Darlene. He just said, you know, he had a good time. He was glad he went. Yeah. Didn't say anything about Darlene. No, nothing. Speaking of Darlene, you want to have some fun?
SPEAKER_16Um, yeah. But before we have some fun.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I'll hold it for the next segment.
SPEAKER_16Yeah, let's do it the next segment because it's 6 30 already. Oh my goodness. So let's go to break because when I come back, um, Eric Weisfeld got to interview Trump on site with WNBF, and I really wanted to play that for you. Excellent. All right. It's Trump's take on her um grave admission that she doesn't know nothing about birth and national security.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. Yes. That was wonderful. Highlight of the debate. Yeah.
SPEAKER_16All right. Election day tomorrow. We'll be back in a moment.
SPEAKER_04The Liz Callaway Show with Nick Summers. Stand by. We'll be back in a few.
SPEAKER_16All right. We were um thinking about the new laundry area, and we said, one day we're gonna put cabinets in our laundry room at the current house. Cabinets, you said? We never did. Cabinets? Cabinets. You know, like over the washer and dryer.
SPEAKER_03I have an idea for you. Cabinets in stock?
unknownThere it is!
SPEAKER_16So what happened was we were like, all right, we'll do it in the next house. So we're gonna head on over uh once we get moved into cabinets and stock. And we are going to get those cabinets. Now, these are beautiful shaker white color. Um, actually, that's what the cabinets they put in this new home. Uh, everybody's using white cabinets because you know what? You can do anything you want with them. They're so versatile. Now, if you want to find out more about what you can do, just head on over to cabinetsandstock.com. Stop by their showroom on Highway 544 by the 31 Interchange. Meet the family in there. Uh, they have been in this family-owned business for over 40 years and they're so great at what they do. They'll even do a free measuring and design consultation because some people need help knowing what size cabinets, how many, and you could just go pick them up today. They're flatboxed and ready to go home. Uh, or what you can do is uh talk to them about assembly, delivery, and installation of the cabinets. One or all of the above. Go to cabinetsandstock.com.
SPEAKER_04Local comprehensive news headlines right now with WMBS only on Talk 94.5. And in North Myrtle Beach, now on 106.7.
SPEAKER_11From the WMBF Newsroom, I'm Lauren Korn. A lightning strike may be to blame for a house fire in Carolina Forest. Firefighters rushed to Albemarle Way near Meridian Drive Friday night to put out the flames that apparently started near the stove. Luckily, no one was hurt. A kids' ministry's back in session weeks after a sex offender scandal rocked the Paulies Island community. The Polys Island Community Church reinstated PICC Kids Sunday after strengthening its child safety policies. The church also brought in Ministry Safe, an organization that specializes in child sexual abuse prevention. Staff and volunteers must now clear background checks and complete abuse prevention training. PICC Kids operate separately from Paulies Island Christian Academy. The school linked the church and convicted sex offender Warren Perry after closing earlier this month. The fight for South Carolina's next U.S. Senator continued in the Grand Strand. Congressman Ralph Norman held a meet and greet Sunday at Sipley's Southern Barbecue on 10th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach. Norman touted his stance on On abortion, First Amendment rights, and the SAVE Act. He is running without President Donald Trump's endorsement, but says he's counting on voters to make up their own minds. The Special Republican runoff is Tuesday. From the WMBF Newsroom, I'm Lauren Korn.

But whatever is aching, don't worry. Dr. Falk can realign so you can get back to doing what you need to get done. Sometimes it's work, sometimes it's play. Pickleball, walking the golf course, walking the beach, you know, that sand when it's uh deep and loose can be really hard on people who need um uh, you know, an adjustment on their knees, on their hips, on their back. And uh sometimes if you do a lot of lifting or anything like that at work, you know, your shoulders, your neck, and then you go to the doctor and they're like, here, take this epidural shot and take this pill and let's do some surgery. Uh and the next thing you know, you're getting all sorts of side effects and more issues, different issues, secondary infections. What you want to do is to go talk to Dr. Falk about the pain. They have massage therapy there, chiropractic care. We heard from someone who actually had a knee replacement in one knee, regretted it, and swore it off uh for the second knee, and ended up getting the regenerative cell treatment on that. And they um and she said uh her name is Michelle. We had her on last week. She was like, I started feeling better from day one. I wanted to let you know tomorrow is the free stemar. SPEAKER_08Good morning. We now return to the Liz Callaway show with Nick Summers. Are you awake now?
SPEAKER_16All right, so I watched the whole, you know, Trump thing. It was kind of cool seeing the motorcade coming down the streets of Myrtle. Um, I don't know when the last time we had a president come into town, but that was pretty cool. And thank God everybody was safe. I do know that there were some people, you know, kind of overcome by the heat and dehydration. Hopefully they were able to still go in. But I mean, it was brutally hot and people were outside from the night before uh to get into this rally. So uh I don't know what y'all did, how you ended up inside, but um they never actually got back to us regarding the press passes, so I didn't bother going. And like I said, I was knee deep in packing anyway. I didn't go to the Ralph Norman thing either. So hopefully some of you went to that at the Simply Southern Barbecue. The budget blinds text line is open, 843-798 TALK 798-8255.
SPEAKER_03Quick check, uh, Google check. It looks and appears to be this is the only time a sitting president has visited Myrtle Beach.
SPEAKER_16Okay. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Pretty cool. Uh so I wanted to play because I watched the entire thing. And when he started talking about Darlene, I watched her speech. I uh I I don't have any clips of her speech, but there's not a lot of energy there.
SPEAKER_03I watch clips too.
SPEAKER_16It's like so um we should play a couple of clips, but I'll take them up. Uh also Ralph Norman spoke, so we should get a couple of clips next hour. We'll play those. But I wanted to play this about why Trump came into town for Darlene Graham. Why did he do it? I also have an interview with Eric Weisfeld. So let me just play for you his sound uh his uh part of his speech. Here we go.
SPEAKER_06You're gonna lose all of your tax breaks, you're gonna lose everything, so you have to get out of vote. No, they're gonna do it. They're gonna impeach. But did you see it this morning? This congressman, it's a big story.
SPEAKER_16He's he was saying that if we lose the midterms, they're gonna impeach him nonstop.
SPEAKER_06John, we're gonna impeach President Trump. Why are you going to impeach him, the commentator? Uh uh. Why are you gonna impeach him? What has he done wrong? Um, I I don't know. I don't know. We're working on it, we're looking at different things. I have the guy had no idea. It's a disgusting thing. So you're gonna lose everything. I'm gonna have to go through impeachment. These are lunatics, these are people that are vicious, violent, that weaponize the justice system, the justice department. They want to destroy our country, they want to see that our country fail. They want our country to fail, and we can't let that happen. You have to get out and vote in the midterms. One other thing, and you know, they know Darlene because Lindsay was so prominent, he was so amazing, but they know how great she is, and they want Darlene to lose and the election, and they want really I hate to tell you this, Darlene. They want Darlene to lose because of me. If I would support somebody else, in fact, Darlene, I'll do that if you'd like me to. Because, you know, when I fought for the wall, we ended up building 1,200 miles of wall. I used to say, we will build a wall. You remember how we come down here, we will build the wall. The wall has been, and we built the wall. We built a lot of wall, we built the whole thing. But I said, we will build the wall. It took me two years, a little bit slow sometimes. If I would have said, we will not build a wall, they would have given me all the money I want. So, Darlene, I'll say, I do not want Darlene to win. No, they don't want her to win because they know how good. And they think that it hurts MAGA. It hurts, and MAGA is if you look at the Republican Party, the Republican Party is MAGA. It's like how tune that. You know, I watched another commentator say the Republican Party is only 70% MAGA. Let me tell you, the Republican Party, I think, the real Republican Party is a hundred percent make America great.
SPEAKER_16So he said that, and this is what you know Congressman Russell Fry is saying, that um we are we have to vote Darlene Graham in to make Trump look stronger because he endorsed her. But you know what? He's endorsing during a primary, which is you know, if this was the general election and he was running against a Democrat and she was polling poorly against the Democrat, uh, then I I understand this.
SPEAKER_03I agree with you.
SPEAKER_16But Ralph Norman is way more proven conservative than Darlene Graham has ever been. And we know her stance on abortion.
SPEAKER_03And Ralph Norman showed up when Trump was in court. Did you know that? He was one of the few that showed up. More pictures of that was circulating over the weekend. He went to his court. He didn't have to, he didn't say anything, it was just one of those silent I'm supporting you. Right.
SPEAKER_16Just another thing to throw in there. Yeah, there you go. Yeah, that's all. And so, and and Ralph Norman showed up on the steps with the frontline doctors, um, and and people say, Oh, well, he endorsed Nikki Haley against Trump. Well, Lindsey Graham ran against Trump. He ran against Trump. So what's the difference? Okay, so if you're gonna ex point to one, you might as well point to the other. Um and uh Ralph Norman explained to us why he did, because they were lifelong friends. Um and the other thing is um, you know, we have a track record with Ralph Norman. And, you know, and I and I saw that, you know, Russell Fry said, well, we you know, he was just a conservative checker. Um and I'm like, no, no, because he's really gone out on a limb. He wasn't just voting conservative to do that. I believe he really does believe what he's voting in.
SPEAKER_03Well, when he shows up at the steps during the COVID thing, when he goes to support President Trump for no reason at all. More than a box checker. I yeah, I kind of think so too.
SPEAKER_16So stop that. Um anyway, I wanted to play one more clip. This is Trump speaking with Eric Weisfeld. Here we go.
SPEAKER_02Nice question, huh? Uh yeah, they've been here since last night. Started lining up last night. Y'all set? You ready? Mr. President, you quickly endorsed Senator Darlene Graham. The truth of the matter here in Ory County is that she was not the top vote getter. Neither was Ralph Norman for that matter. Russell Fry was. What would your direct message be to voters here as to why she is the best person to represent them in Washington DC?
SPEAKER_06I'm doing this in honor of Lindsay. Lindsay was a great friend of mine, he was a great politician, actually, helped me a lot in Washington. Got a lot of votes, he could get anybody's vote if he wanted to. He was very talented. And she's just a fine person. She loves our military, she loves our country, she loves South Carolina. She's gonna be a great senator. I think she's gonna be fantastic. She's got a good gene pool.
SPEAKER_02South Carolina health leaders are closely watching the implementation of the One Big Beautiful bill. With hundreds of millions of cuts projected, possibly with Medicaid. Can you ensure voters in our area are working residents that their medical coverage won't be compromised?
SPEAKER_06Oh, it's gonna be the best. And the Democrats are the ones that want to compromise it. And one of the things I did is favored nations drugs. We've reduced the drug prices by 80 and 90 percent. Uh, and nobody's ever done anything like it. Nobody's ever reduced them even one percent. Uh, because of favorite nations. We were the highest nation in the entire world, and now we're the lowest nation in the world. And I did that by getting other nations through the use of different things like tariffs, if you don't do it. Uh, but I got them all to approve it, got the drug companies to approve it, and drug prices are down 70, 80, and 90 percent.
SPEAKER_03You did do that.
SPEAKER_16So uh so I'm just saying that he didn't really say what to, you know, for for her to he he said two things. They want her to lose because they want me to make me look bad. And then he also said that, you know, because she said the national security thing, and he goes, Well, she's honest, you know, and she's gonna learn, she's gonna learn these things, he said. Um and granted, a lot of people don't know what they don't know until they're actually in the position.
SPEAKER_03I I totally agree with that, but she could have at least done a quick little study to say, listen, here's what I do know, and I'm looking forward to diving in deeper. Yeah, I would have been fine. Yeah, but nothing. She's just uh uh That's not my thing.
SPEAKER_16Yeah, that was now that to me tells me that it's never going to be your thing. See, it's one thing to say, I'm I'm not informed on that subject completely yet because I'm just running, but uh what I do know is that Taiwan is a major um is an important player in our our our semiconductor industry and that any threats to that is a threat to American national security, and I will uh support our president in anything that he will do to ensure that Taiwan is able to com to uh continue uh to provide America until we can bring manufacturing back to the United States. You know, we used to make semiconductors and we were the supplier, and now this situation has has weakened us.
SPEAKER_03And so a quick chat GPT search would have given her the answer she needed.
SPEAKER_16But by her saying national security is not my thing, is basically telling me that it will never be on her plate. Because it's not her thing. That's the problem with what she said. It's not that I'm not informed on the exact circumstances surrounding it because I'm just merely a candidate right now. But I assure you, as soon as I am in there and able to do so, I will make sure I will educate myself to the level of Lindsey Graham, my brother, my beloved brother. You know what I mean? Like even I can answer that question.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and you know, Adam Morgan shared uh uh a a post, and uh there's no need to play it. But it basically she's sitting there in a mask. So this must have been during COVID time, so and by the way, below her nose, so she knows nothing about health. Uh talking about uh DEI and how she forced it into the state agency that she ran, which is the Commission of Blind, and she says, I want to be a leader in that. So the record she does.
SPEAKER_16She's in the commission for a disabled person who's blind. I know, I get it. So I guess that's why.
SPEAKER_03I g I get that. And to in all fairness, yes, I see your point. But at the same time, the track record she has versus the track record Ralph Norman has, because those are our two choices right now.
SPEAKER_16Speaking of which, she probably and I think it's been shown. She hasn't e she didn't even vote for Trump both times. No. I'm sure she voted for her brother the first time in the first primary. If she voted at all.
SPEAKER_03Uh I gotta play this because it's just because we're talking about it. It's hilarious. Can I play it? Yes. Jimmy Fallon, it made the late night talk shows. I know, they're irrelevant. I don't watch them anymore either. But it right. It's embarrassing because now you have it all over again, very small audience, but still, it it was important enough for them to include it in their nighttime skits. Friday night, Jimmy Fallon. Here it is.
SPEAKER_14I'm just gonna be honest here. I'm not on national security that I'm not that informed on national security, so but I do support the military.
SPEAKER_05Okay then. Uh here to make the case for herself is South Carolina Senator Darlene Graham.
SPEAKER_03It's an actress, it's a skip.
SPEAKER_15Thanks for having me on to clear this out.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, so you you don't seem to know much about national security.
SPEAKER_15No, I do not. I'm just trying to be honest. I'm not a polished politician, but there's a lot more to being a senator than knowing about national security.
SPEAKER_05Okay, so do you know about the economy?
SPEAKER_15Vaguely.
SPEAKER_05Sounds just like not at all. Trade.
SPEAKER_15Pass.
SPEAKER_05Infrastructure.
SPEAKER_15Owner friends. I've never heard of it.
SPEAKER_05Immigration.
SPEAKER_15Opinionated but uninformed.
SPEAKER_05Education.
SPEAKER_15Do I know about it or have I had it?
SPEAKER_05Both.
SPEAKER_15Not even a little bit, nothing really.
SPEAKER_05The environment.
SPEAKER_15I don't care.
SPEAKER_05Social Security.
SPEAKER_15Confuses me.
SPEAKER_05The stock market.
SPEAKER_15Scares me.
SPEAKER_05Veterans' affairs.
SPEAKER_15I think they should be able to sleep with whoever they want. Oh my goodness.
SPEAKER_05Voting.
SPEAKER_15I never done it.
SPEAKER_05Public speaking?
SPEAKER_15Clearly terrible.
SPEAKER_05Private speaking.
SPEAKER_15Not much better.
SPEAKER_05Maps.
SPEAKER_15Uh-uh.
SPEAKER_05Books.
SPEAKER_15Gross.
SPEAKER_05Fox.
SPEAKER_15Completely inscrutable.
SPEAKER_05Your own name.
SPEAKER_15Matilda.
SPEAKER_05Darlene.
SPEAKER_15What?
SPEAKER_05That's your name.
SPEAKER_15If you say so.
SPEAKER_03So you get the point. It's honestly, it's just funny, but that was there it was. And again, viewership in the night late night talk shows is not what it used to be. Let's not kid ourselves. Not a lot of people saw it, but a lot of people saw it on X, which is where people go for those clips. And yeah, that's just but it, you know what? All humor is rooted in the truth somewhere. That's what makes it funny.
SPEAKER_16And Trump is saying we're going to lose everything if Darlene Graham doesn't win. How is that? How are we going to lose everything? You heard what he said. You're going to lose everything. Because I just played you the clip, right? Because he said that means I'm going to go into I'm going to be weaker going into the midterms. Because it's going to be Ralph Norman against Dr. Andrews. How is how is how is this going to make him weaker? Because he has an endorsed can't. He had to come all the way here. How bad are you as a candidate?
SPEAKER_03On a busy weekend with that indie car race that they had planned. Exactly. We had to zip right back to DC for all that stuff. Which was really cool because an American won. It really was on top of it. By the way, Paul has piped back in and said, Oh no, I was there just to see Trump. I'm Ralph Norman all the way. Oh, okay. So there you go. All right, gotta go. All right.
