SPEAKER_03

And here he is right now to join us, former State Representative at a Freedom Caucus, one of the founding members, Adam Morgan.

SPEAKER_02

And a friend of the show.

SPEAKER_03

And a friend of the show. I know him. Good morning, Adam Morgan.

SPEAKER_00

Thanks for having me on. Yeah, we can't stop thinking about it because we're only selecting one of the most powerful people on the planet, and we might get one who doesn't have anything, any clue about national security.

SPEAKER_03

Isn't that ridiculous?

SPEAKER_00

And people are like I couldn't believe it.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my God. Adam, people are like texting us and calling us and telling us we are absolute fools not to vote for Darlene.

SPEAKER_02

Silly, uh nitpicking.

SPEAKER_00

Not to vote. Wait, wait. Yeah, yeah. You heard me right. If you don't vote for Darlene, you're fools.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I think I have a strong argument uh that actually if you vote for Darlene, it might be a foolish option. Yeah. I think that that would be the stronger.

SPEAKER_03

How is it looking in the polls? I know you were um the running mate for Ralph Norman in the gubernatorial uh primary, so I'm guessing you have an insight track. And by the way, we'd love to interview him. Can't get in touch with anybody that can get me in. Um yeah. Yeah, I'd love to interview him again.

SPEAKER_00

All right. Yes, I will definitely let him know.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, great. Well, I wanted to know from you what uh what are the polls saying? Because Cal she still's g has her on top.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Well the betting sites are notoriously bad predictors of of actual election returns because they're not you know, it's just random people betting for any random reason. It's not actual people who are voting. So the polls are showing Ralph ahead. The problem is th there's only been one mainline poll that's been even been released, and it was a poll that was paid for by Norman. So normally, if a if a poll is released by a campaign, you know, or the only time if they're ahead is when they release it. They're not gonna release a poll showing them behind. Now, that doesn't mean the polls are fake. It means that generally Darlene has released no polls because the polls she's getting are probably showing her behind. Norman has released the one that has him, I think it was like six or seven points up. Now, there's a poll that is coming out supposedly today. I have not seen it, but I've talked to people that have seen it, that have uh Ralph up five points.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So we'll see when that poll drops, uh, with I think it was like six percent undecided or something like that. What does he have to do?

SPEAKER_03

I'm sorry, Adam. Uh what does he have to do to really hammer this home right now? I mean, sh this is this should be easy.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and he's gotta convince 50 million people.

SPEAKER_00

So he's up against Trump. You know, if she wins by 40 some million votes, we'll know that the system is rigged. I'm just saying, that will we will know, right? But I I think the the problem is he is up against a mountain of special interest money, unlike really anything we've seen in South Carolina. I mean, uh and she's gone all negative. I don't know if you saw that. They've moved all their advice to they're not doing anything positive for Darlene. It's just well, when there's nothing positive to say, how could you possibly well that that's what's going on is like the the you know when you're behind, that's when you get desperate and only throw negatives. And so her campaign has made the the decision to only go uh do that. And then once again, that shows that you're you're that's not somebody that's ahead. And her debate performance, her real aggressive negative, um, especially the last uh half of the debate, that's something that you do when you're behind and you've gotta make up a whole lot of ground. So that all bodes very well for Ralph. The problem is negative ads also work because you have so many low information voters. I mean, they don't they don't have any clue about either one of them, and so they tune in to the last second and they look at an endorsement list or they hear some spooky thing that's in this case completely made up. I mean, most of her uh attacks are blatant lies. He never voted for the tax uh for a gas tax increase. You know, he he he his his PvP loans that almost all business owners took out, her husband made almost 200 grand off of PvP loans. I heard that. Yes, and so it's like you sit there and the hypocrisy is staggering, but you know, that came out late.

SPEAKER_03

That came out late. What's going on with the opposition research? I mean, whoever's in charge of that, I don't think is doing a very good job.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, of her campaign. Well, I will say it it some of it is that they have it, but you only have so much money to allocate in a campaign. And and they her side, I mean, she's funded by all these liberal billionaires, by the head of moveon.org, the former director of that radical liberal side. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I mean, she's funded by you did you see that she got busted for taking too much money from Lisa Murkowski's pack?

SPEAKER_03

We just talked about that off-cap like $500,000 or something?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, 10% of her cash on hand because they gave too much money. And and if you look at who's giving her the money, it's the heads of TikTok, the heads of BlackRock, that Lisa Murkowski's pack. I mean, that should tell anybody for the people that are texting into it, and we're crazy not to vote for her. I'm sorry, guys, that is insane to send somebody who is bankrolled by those people and who has no record. And the little things we do know about her is that she's a lifelong bureaucrat. The last thing we need in election office that she uh has funded a pro-abortion quote unquote Republicans and killed the heartbeat bill, and that she pushed DEI uh and celebrated it in her hiring in the Commission on the Blind. And by the way, what a ridiculous thing to push DEI discriminatory practicing and handling in the Commission on the Blind. Talk about one area where we don't need any kind of discrimination. Uh so I would just say oh and let alone the fact that she asked for money every single year, increased budget, so she's not a fiscal conservative, and she raised her own salary by an exponential number compared to the other people on her staff. So in almost every way there's these big question marks, and then she tells us she knows nothing about the national security, which is one of the main or a key thing and one of the main things that the Senate deals with. The Senate's not supposed to be dealing with a whole lot of domestic stuff that should be left up to the state. You know, we want a limited government that has specific roles, like the federal government having national security as one of the main things that they deal with. So I'm sorry, this isn't the PTA. This isn't just you, it wasn't your brother's seat. It was the the the seat for South Carolina, and he served in it. It you don't just get to inherit it, and we don't want it given to anyone. We want to be competent voters who have an informed decision and and let merit be the thing that is driving this, not DEI. I mean, I know she liked DEI in her bureaucracies, but but we don't want it for our Senate seat.

SPEAKER_02

You know, Adam, Liz and I have said this. It's okay to disagree with the president, and both Liz and I disagreed with this endorsement as we did with the last one, frankly, here in South Carolina. So we're hoping for another co-endorsement out of the woodwork.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, I think that that a lot of people are there. You know, the president's made several bad endorsements, and the truth is it he I don't even know that he's that dialed into these. It's his advisors who have advised him on a few, you know, bad things. And so, yeah, people need to just make their own decision. And uh, I think if you compare their records, Ralph is the author of the Save Act. I mean, we all say we want the Save America Act, we want the voter security. Ralph Norman authored that bill and filed it in 2020 when everybody, you know, was saying, oh, if you if you question the election results, you're an election denier and a conspiracy theorist. And he got attacked by both sides for it. He's the one who stood with the frontline doctors and called out Fauci in 2020 and got attacked for it.

SPEAKER_02

And by the way, that is huge because at the time timing is everything, that was one of the bravest things anyone could do.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely. And he actually leads on issues. That's what I we all say that we want people to fight for us and to be conservative leaders. Well, let me tell you, I've lived this. I know how this works. So many elected officials, they're all talk. They just tell you what you want to hear. And by the way, they tell you what you want to hear when they're off camera, when there's no, you know, there's no risk, and then when they're on camera, it's all just memorized plastic lines that are approved by everybody and won't get them in any trouble. And they tell everybody, you know, don't stir things up, you know, pick your battles, which means never fight. It's like, I'm sorry, we're losing our country. We have radical communists that are trying to take this place down. We need fighters who have a proven record and who will fight for us every day. And the Senate is the place where the bills are going to die. So are we going to send somebody who's bought by um you Pax and the establishment swamp, or are we going to send somebody who authored the Save Act, who's fought every single day, who helped us start the Freedom Caucus? It was his idea to start the Freedom Caucus in South Carolina because he was running the one up in DC and wanted conservatives to be more organized at the state level. Because he had lived, you know, uh he had been in the legislature and and was one of the ones who helped get the the voting board and uh you in that historic fight. So I mean on and on, y uh you I can just keep going on his record. And so I it just baffles me that people would pick the candidate who has admitted she is ignorant and incompetent for this specific job, regardless of whether the fact she's a nice person or whether you liked Lindsay, it the simple thing that should be driving your decision is is this a competent person that can do the job? Right. That should be your main concern.

SPEAKER_03

So let me ask you this question the million dollar question. Why is this happening? Why? Who told her to run? Who told Trump that this is a good idea? I blame it on the disaster, the Mick disaster in um Columbia, Henry. Henry has been a complete disaster for this date, nonstop. And he keeps giving us these parting shots. I'm I'm over it right now.

SPEAKER_00

Tracks like appointing the appointing the radical democrat as we health are. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

First time and the second time. Twice he did it. Okay, so why is this happening? Does Henry hate us that much?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know if I would phrase it like that. I think Henry is just not a conservative. I think he is it just like a lot of the Washington, D.C. establishment, he is completely bought and paid for by lobbyists. I mean, that's why all of his like the Scout Motors deal, uh, and by the way, he just put more funding in the budget and then vetoed the attempt to take the money out for the hundred whatever million that they're giving them for cost overruns after already giving him one point however many billion. I mean, that he all of that comes from he just does whatever lobbyists tell him. And once again, lobbyists are who are selling the farm. Uh literally and metaphorically. Like they're they're turning against the American public and they're supporting big pharma and they pushed all the COVID stuff, and they're the reason they put all the the junk in our foods uh and and yet regulate healthy things. I mean, uh almost any issue you look at, the lobbyists are driving why we stand down when it comes to conservative things and why we uh push liberal things. Um so I would just say that's what's going on with Henry, and also that's what's going on with uh this election of Darlene Graham. You have uh political insiders that are both in the administration, which Trump has dealt with in both administrations, by the way. People in that that gave him bad advice who uh have ulterior motives. They don't it's it's not the public's best interest, it's you know the lobbyist control. And thankfully he's gotten rid of most of those, but you still have some that are uh uh pushing a lot of these decisions, and you've seen them in a lot of these endorsements. Uh over and over again lately, Trump is endorsing establishment, I mean, just even just rhino candidates against conservatives. And I think that's what's drive well, I I'm telling you, that's that's what's driving it. It's it's bad advice from advisors who are colluding with lobbyists. That that's the influence that they have. And so once again, you we know that that is a core issue at the state and federal level, so we need to elect people who will put your interests above the lobbyists. They actually answer to the people and and are gonna make the best decisions for the people. And once again, if she doesn't know anything about national security, and also by the way, it's not just that she doesn't know anything about it, it's not her thing. That's like that's like a lifeguard saying, you know, water's swimming is not my thing. Right. Really? It's like oh oh, okay.

SPEAKER_03

How is that not an automatic disqualifier?

SPEAKER_00

It is.

SPEAKER_03

I know, but why isn't it being called out by the GOP?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was gonna say, I I think it has been called if you I mean every single uh we're the we're the laughing stock right now of the world. I don't know if you've seen how big that clip went.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I mean it was pretty much covered every in fact it came across my news feed earlier. I because I posted a video, it had been translated to Portuguese. It was playing somewhere in Portuguese television. It's like this went everywhere. Like Pierce Morgan, liberals, David Axelrod, uh, conservatives, Megan Kelly, like everybody, anywhere you you look.

SPEAKER_03

We look like idiots here in South Carolina that we're even entertaining it. Getting into a runoff with this person. I mean, I feel like Trump has been a good idea. Trump has made us look a fool, and now she has made him look like a fool, and now she has to come all the way here to the center. Where we have to competition. And this is the target. And with everything going on, yeah. I mean, how embarrassing is it for her? I would be like, I am so sorry I screwed up in that debate. Let me just back out now. You don't have to come here. That's ridiculous. I mean, I would feel like such an idiot that I have to have him come and now do this. That's ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'm I'm still holding out hope that he double does a dual endorsement. I I know he's I think they're waiting to look at the polling, and I think once they see it and realize it's likely that she's gonna lose, um, I'm hoping that they will recognize, you know, it's just not worth it. And and we know it's embarrassing. Let's go with a competent person and and say thanks, Darlene, uh, and let's move on.

SPEAKER_03

And you know what I'm really shocked about? All these political operatives in my like local area are just like fine with Darlene. And and it it just doesn't make sense to me. I don't understand it. I don't trust, I don't believe that these are people like I believe like know stuff about local politics. And all of our delegations is gonna go stand on stage with her tonight uh tomorrow night. What the heck?

SPEAKER_00

Well, that doesn't surprise me if you look at their voting records. Um I think that's your I think that's your answer there.

SPEAKER_01

I sorry.

SPEAKER_02

Hold on. That was a dinger and it was beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it's but the thing is it's true. I mean most of them are uh have terrible voting records, and so they're them doing exactly what the establishment wants is is no surprise. They are the establishment. So and then the party has a lot of the same issues. There there's good ones, and then the the unfortunately there's too many who I mean they're just excited for a photo op. That that's what excites them the most. And that's once again, yeah, that is the everything wrong with politics. That's why our country is in the situation that it's in.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. And and some of them say, hey, listen, we can't make the president stink bad on this topic. We have to try and make him win on this. And I'm like, wow, how is this a win? She's gonna be horrible, and that's gonna look even worse.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and and you need to even like he's endorsed some people that have later turned on it turned out to be terrible. I mean, Collins and Murkowski and those times is like she's showing her colors already.

SPEAKER_03

So why are we doubling down on this?

SPEAKER_00

He he also only has uh you know two more years. We're putting in our seat for six years. Yeah, at least once again, don't let that be your driving uh factor because whoever this is is for their term is only you know spending a third of it even working with Trump. Yeah, because who's gonna tell them what to do afterwards?

SPEAKER_03

All right, Adam Morgan, thank you so much, and um please um I'll send you my email so maybe you can connect me with his scheduler.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, sounds good. Thanks so much for having me on.

SPEAKER_03

I put something I put I put I sent some emails out to the Darling camp, but I haven't heard anything from them either.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Shocking. She's known for taking so many interviews.

SPEAKER_03

All right, well, thank you so much, Adam Morgan. We'll talk to you next time.
