SPEAKER_03

Oh just fine and dandy.

SPEAKER_00

Were you invited to Taylor Swift's wedding?

SPEAKER_03

Uh if I was, I I didn't know about it. I didn't get the call. Although I do get a lot of calls from numbers I don't recognize. Uh so it's possible. Alright, alright.

SPEAKER_00

What did you what did you think about it?

SPEAKER_03

What'd you say? Um Tom Cruise was there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. Spent his uh I guess his 60th birthday at the wedding.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_03

So that's cool. Um I we had a we had a story that became a lead story at Brightbirth.com, um which was really just kind of about the the the gas go that it was causing for the city in terms of security. Um over a hundred and sixty New York City police and detectives, the US Army came out um a Wednesday before Saturday uh wedding. Um there were business owners across the street from Madison Square Garden um who went to US Weekly and said that they're making no money uh because the security apparatus around Madison Square Garden was just making it impossible for any of their local patrons uh to stop in. Um and so there were there was just a lot of chaos and I kind of called it on um on the Breitbart editorial calls um a week before because the this is this is you know pop music or country music if you will, if you want to. Um royalty uh literally marrying uh a superstar NFL sports celebrity. Uh and so this is two worlds colliding and there's a thousand people, hundreds of them um either B or A-list celebrities as well. Uh and yeah, I just you know, like I said last week, uh if you're Taylor Swift, I think you know, worth two billion dollars, you gotta spend the money. Why not? And there are reports that there's going to be a documentary about the wedding uh ceremony. And I I'm I'm sure the the events leading up to it. Uh and so AMC, the theater company, uh, the largest in the world, accidentally, air quote, uh tweeted uh about such upcoming theatrical uh display about the wedding. We know Taylor Swift is the king queen of um of merchandising. Uh she will release an album, but it'll have a picture book. She'll have an exclusive deal with Target. She's done it before, and I don't see how this will be any different. Kudos to her. Um, it's ingenious. There are a lot of people who wanted to be there. Many of them camped out outside of MSG. So she'll be able to sell, I guess, a hundred dollar maybe picture book to those people. Um, and then people will go go to a theater to see us get married. Uh it's it's incredible.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean part of me says she should have just eloped. But the other part of me says she has brought her fans along for the ride, and it would have been great if it was more about the fans. Like I didn't like all these celebrity types coming. That was a big turn off. Um, you know, how well do they really know her uh and or him? And if we was doing like if we did something for for her fans. I think that would have been cool. She did donate like $26 million to charities, um, various charities, which is cool. She always is very generous. Um, to children in the hospital that, you know, I remember all that with her uh through the years. But I mean she does have a long generation of followers that are very loyal to her and just want to see her succeed. And basically, whatever she's doing is what they're doing in their lives. And um like so if I was going to do something public, I would have definitely been more about the fans and less about these miserable-looking celebrities coming in there with their you know high-dollar fashion, and and it was just you know there were uh apparently raffles where diamonds and uh luxury watches uh were given out as prizes. It didn't seem very Taylor Swift. Something happened there.

SPEAKER_03

I don't know. Um yeah, uh the the fan service will come, but it will come at a price. Uh, you know, and so uh, we lost you for a second.

SPEAKER_01

I can't hear you, Jerome.

SPEAKER_03

Am I not back now?

SPEAKER_01

No, you something happened. You fell into a tunnel.

SPEAKER_03

Or a coffee can.

SPEAKER_01

You fell into a coffee can. I can't hear you.

SPEAKER_03

No, I think you are, there you are. I don't know. I I literally didn't do anything. These headphones, I don't know. Those is an impr impressive company. Anyway, but no, the fan service will come, it will come at a cost, and that is, I think, going forward, just going to be the MO for Taylor Swift, um, beyond her music, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Uh she did her last Air's tour, which lasted nearly two years. She put it in the theater, right? For the for the fans, if you will, who could not show up uh in London or Brazil and everywhere else she went.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Um, and so, you know, I the only thing that makes me a little nervous about this is if she ever turned back on the political spigot, um, which I don't think she will do. You know, I think you know, she'll just start having babies and her music will change, her lyrics will change. Um, and and and hopefully she sort of becomes a better version of of of what I stupidly thought Kim Kardashian could could be, which was just like the most famous uh celebrity mom. Um that's gonna happen to Taylor Sw to Taylor Swift. What she does with that power, how she wields it. I mean, we'll see. Hopefully it'll lift the American birth rate, which is sadly very low and has been for years. But um, you know, so I'm just wish casting.

SPEAKER_01

I think she's also a little overexposed right now, um, just too much publicity, and then it starts to turn the tide starts to turn like she should just give just enough, you know, and it just seems like if she would have done something more fan-based, fan-centric, uh, instead of making it like some kind of spectacle like that. I that was the turnoff for me.

SPEAKER_03

I I don't blame her for doing something big, but should have been I've often thought that about Dwayne The Rock Johnson. Um, you know, he'll just be in six big budget movies a year. Just like he's either in the theater for one movie or on the press tour for another one. Um and I get your point when it as it relates to Taylor Swift on that. Um, but I don't know. I I just I don't know. Like it it it it doesn't seem to hurt the rock at the box office. It doesn't really seem to hurt Taylor Swift at the box office.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Um it just seems a little bit elitist the way she did it. Because she was always like the girl's girl, you know what I mean? And it just seemed it's weird.

SPEAKER_03

It is weird. Like I don't even know where she sits in the current Democrat Party, which I guess she's still a part of, but it is very hyper animated on activism, and there are litmus tests, right? Like she's a billionaire two times over. Yeah, they don't particularly like billionaires. She kind of endorsed Kamala, but she has said nothing about Palestine, which is really important to them. She's performed in China, which is very brutal to you if you're a lesbian or or gay or heavens forbid, transgender. Joseph has said nothing about protecting the dolls, as they say. Uh, and so, you know, for me, it is it is it is very interesting what comes next. Um you know, and and and in that sense, uh, you know, I just how she gets a pass um is is is fascinating. And that and if does that last, you know what I mean? Um uh Beyonce will will probably release another album, she'll probably go on another tour. Um you know what she needs to do?

SPEAKER_01

She needs to go on to like American Idol and just show her true self and repair her elitist take a break, you know? Like just go there and look like a mentor, like you care that you you know that it really did wonders for Katy Perry, and you know, it really did. Uh uh for other people it it that makes them look like a bigger jerk than they are, but like I fell in love with Lionel Ritchie all over again. I'm like, I love this guy. He's so oh my gosh, he just loves the art.

SPEAKER_03

Here's the thing, though. I mean, you have to you have to subscribe to the belief that Taylor Swift is out of touch, right, with the majority of her fans. I am just going to imagine that this woman has the biggest or one of the biggest PR firms, maybe even more than one PR firm representing her, um, her publicists. Like I think that they're running constantly uh surveys and polls to get her Q score, um which they get the results, and that feeds into the decision, the decisions that she makes um about her songs, what her songs are about, the tours that she launches, where they are, where she performs. And so if i I I just don't like, I don't think you do the the the wedding and then the pre-ued dinner the Friday before at Madison Square Garden if you are of the belief that you're coming off as the leadist and that you need to reorient um the way that you move. I I just I don't think that that's sorry to break it to you. Uh I just don't think that's gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Well, you know, she she she got this football player and they they seem like they're in love. I don't see any warning signs, so it looks like a lot of things.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, they apparently cried a lot and uh there's a lot of tears. Um you know, and he'll they'll yeah, they'll go away, and but he's gonna have to pop back out here in about two or three weeks because the the Chiefs, just like all the other 31 NFL teams, will be back on the field practicing, and then in less than two months, it'll be football season. So and it'll probably be his last season.

SPEAKER_00

So all right, Jerome Hudson. Uh he is the author of 50 Things They Don't Want You To Know and 50 Things They Don't Want You To Know About Trump. So thank you so much. And and Breitbart also has, you know, you're on Sirius uh XM, right?

SPEAKER_03

That's right, that's right. Sunday. I was I was on last night filling in for Stacey Washington, 9 p.m. to midnight, while the U.S. men's soccer team just got demolished. But every Sunday, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sirius XM Patriot Radio, Patriot 125 is the station. Uh I will be on the Breitbart Confidential today. Uh you go to Breitbart.com, you click on the fight club, become a member for $5. We'll be talking about the Odyssey, uh, the trans casting, the race swap casting, uh, will it hurt the box office for Luke uh Christopher Nolis, who is the king of the box office. Um, I think people are still going to the theater to see Oppenheimer. Uh and so the reviews are in for the Odyssey. Uh there are eBay single ticket movie tickets for the movie, over a thousand dollars. Uh and so it it may be the biggest woke box office smash ever. Uh, but we shall see. We shall see. We we don't know.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Thank you so much. We'll talk to you next week.
