SPEAKER_01

Um I want to say, did I say it was um June 9th?

SPEAKER_00

June 9th, next next week.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's gonna be there with the the Puddles the Pity Party Clown.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I hear he does a very good show. I mean, um, we had a whole segment on Puddles the Clown the other.

SPEAKER_01

We had a lot of fun with Puddles the Clown. That is a that is he's a funny guy. Uh Weird Al Yankovic, uh North Charleston Coliseum, June 9th, Tuesday 730.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I'll have to see what's going on June 9th. I'd I'd love to be there. I think we should make it happen.

SPEAKER_01

It could it could be a write-off because then you can use it to report.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, yes, yes. We need a full report. We need a full report. There it is. It's a photo.

SPEAKER_00

It's a write-off. There you go. We we can we can see if that can happen.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, we've got somebody not they're not that expensive. Uh row F and lower 114 section, $27 each.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

That's not bad.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's not bad. That's not bad. If if he did his classics, it would be worth it. Yeah, I mean, uh some of his newer stuff, uh they're okay. But his classic stuff is is just, you know, that that's the best stuff.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Um well let's talk about Georgetown.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we do have somebody covering the uh for us for the uh Carolina Country Music Festival we've got a little board over there. But yes, well I'll bring that up because um uh uh the behind the scenes stuff. Uh I didn't know. I thought you you know, if you go to these concerts like that, you can just show them a press pass and you know they'll let you in. Um no. Um I found out during this process. I think it would be easier to get a press pass to interview Donald Trump on the toilet than it is to get in this country music festival. I mean, the forms you have to fill out, and I mean it took hours to get all the forms filled out and everything that you needed to uh to get the uh the press credential to get in this.

SPEAKER_01

But you did get in.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I didn't. I mean our reporter Karen Owens is covering it, but um no, you're not gonna catch me near a crowd like that. Uh that's that's way too many people for me. But um, yeah, she was there last night, but uh and and from the uh from the uh pictures I saw and everything, it looks like the crowd was a lot lower last night than what we normally see. I mean, um now that could change tonight. Last night was uh sort of the pre-event. The the main concert starts today and goes through Sunday, and Luke Bryan gonna be there tonight. So uh that that big name probably will um increase the crowded for tonight and and everything. But yeah, I just I was just surprised uh how much it takes uh effort it takes to to get in this thing. Um but yeah, I heard you talking earlier. It is interesting because I don't know why it's the same weekend, but you've got the uh um what is it, the um country music television, CMT or whatever it is, the uh festival in Nashville at the same time. So you've got a lot of these uh artists uh coming to Myrtle Beach and then going to Nashville tomorrow um and Sunday.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's what we were talking about earlier, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I heard you talk about that. Yeah, I don't know why they're all the same weekend. Um but yes, that's that's interesting.

SPEAKER_01

But you would think that they would coordinate the schedules. Um I don't think so.

SPEAKER_03

Unless you've got two promoters who can't stand each other and then it's game on, and I've seen that before.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay, interesting. That's another thing.

SPEAKER_00

But I think Myrtle Beach Myrtle Beach loses out because, you know, I mean the big, big names, you know, they want to be in Nashville.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I mean I know Luke Bryan's doing both. He's doing some you know here tonight, and then he'll be in Nashville tomorrow and Sunday. But uh a lot of people just choose, you know, Nashville over over Myrtle Beach. So anyway.

SPEAKER_01

All right, well.

SPEAKER_00

I don't think that's what you called me to talk about then.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So um I wanted to ask you about the Crystal Souls case.

SPEAKER_00

Ums case came back up.

SPEAKER_01

Give people a background, uh a little background on what happened to Crystal Souls that Crystal Souls is is a young lady.

SPEAKER_00

She was 28 years old. Um uh 21 years ago, she just vanished uh from the town of Andrews. She went to one of the uh little corner stores in Andrews, uh, and she wanted her dad to come pick her up, but he was very sick, so he couldn't uh come pick her up. So she started walking home, and that was the last people saw of her. Uh that was uh back in uh I think it was January of uh 21 years ago. What was it? 2005. Yeah, and um nobody uh saw her after that. And you know, unlike the um you know Drexel case, it hasn't been solved. And uh so uh nothing happened in the case for for you know a couple of decades until last year, last June, in fact uh about a year ago now. Um there was this guy, he was clearing off a lot uh in Williamsburg County moving uh furniture and everything, and found a wallet that was in a couch, and when it fell out, he picked it up and uh saw there was a driver's license in it, and that was Crystal Sowell's wallet, had her driver's license in it.

SPEAKER_01

Hold on a second. Where is this in relation to where she was last seen?

SPEAKER_00

This couch. Um I'm not I'm not exactly sure how far the lot that was being cleared is from the store where she was last seen, uh, but in the general vicinity. So I mean where was a couch outside? There was a couch outside in the lot where I was like, Well, no, I I think he was clearing I think he uh from what the way I understand it now, uh but he was uh they were they were m taking down a house and clearing the lot.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

And and the couch was inside the house. Um, when I say Williamsburg, that makes it sound like uh you gotta remember Williamsburg, Andrew, the town of Andrews is kind of divided a little bit by Williamsburg County. A por a portion of you know Andrews is in Williamsburg County. So when we say Williamsburg, it doesn't mean it's a long way away, um, because it's all right there together.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

So the wallet was found, and um what happened was when when he found the wallet last year, he didn't know anything. This guy didn't know anything about the Crystal Souls missing person case. He just looked at the address on the wallet and went to that location.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Uh well back in the day, Crystal Souls and her family lived at the address that was on the uh driver's license. Well, they uh the family moved and uh so somebody else lives here now. Well, when they got uh when he got to the house on the uh license, um that person was not home. So he walked next door to a lady and said, you know, uh I found this wallet, it belongs to your neighbor. And she opened the wallet and saw that it was Crystal Gale's wallet. Well, she said she about passed out because ironically, she never knew that Crystal Gale's uh family lived next door because she moved to where she is after they had moved away. So she opened the wallet, saw Crystal Gale's picture, and she was like, Yeah, she's almost passed out. Yeah, because she knew her, because ironically, back in the day, uh when Crystal Gale was a teenager, she worked for this lady cleaning condos.

SPEAKER_01

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

So at the uh at one moment, um, she got this wallet from this gentleman and she discovered the chances that Crystal Souls had been had lived in the house next door. She didn't know that. And of course, you know, she you know knew that she had worked for her back as like an 18 to 20 year old uh cleaning condos. So she told the gentleman, you know, he needed to save the uh wallet to the police, which which he did. So it was sent off to Sled uh to be uh you know looked at and find out if there was any DNA and fingerprints on it. Well, and the reason this became a story this week again is because the police uh said when Sled investigated the wallet, there was no DNA and no fingerprints on the wallet. Well, this sent up a red flag because the lady knew she held the wallet. She knew the man who found it held the wallet, you know, and she had fumbled through it. How could there have been no DNA and no fingerprints on the wallet when she held it herself and the man who found it held it?

SPEAKER_01

So it should have our DNA, fresh fresh DNA. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

It should have had, yeah, it should have had her DNA. Now I can understand, you know, after 21 years not having Crystal Souls DNA on it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, this is Crystal Souls speaking to us. This is so unbelievable. It really is an unbelievable story right now with this wallet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, but but nobody knows how it got there in the couch because that was not her house, you know, where it was found. It was uh, you know, a little ways away from where where they live. Um so you know, who who had the wallet last? How did it get in the couch?

SPEAKER_01

You know, um Where's the house where the couch needs to get DNA?

SPEAKER_00

The couch is Yeah, I don't know what they did with the couch.

SPEAKER_01

That's the thing that needs the DNA testing.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know what he did with the couch, you know, because he didn't know there was a you know a crime linked to the couch.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but they have to find where it got dumped. Yeah, but they can find exactly where that was dumped. They know how to find dumped stuff.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, it's I don't know from a year ago.

SPEAKER_01

No, I mean it should have been done a year ago is one of the things. Why is this a news story now? I'm sorry, I missed that.

SPEAKER_00

Just because this lady wanted to know wants to know why uh the splendid report came back with no DNA, no fingerprints when she herself held the wallet, fumbled through it, you know, said it was other stuff in it, money and and some receipts and things like that. And that's another thing. There were receipts in the in the wallet. You know, they could have been put there the day or you know, that she disappeared. You know, we don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, this is like making it.

SPEAKER_00

If the police even investigated.

SPEAKER_01

How about Crystal Souls' family?

SPEAKER_00

Um, the ironic thing about the uh the whole wallet thing is, uh and I'm not bragging when I say this, but it's just the way it happened. Um, Karen Owens, the same person that's covering the uh country music festival, she did an interview with uh Gail Souls, Crystal's mother, back in January. And that's when the news broke about the wallet. Nobody, it had not been reported anywhere before that. Wow it just came up in a conversation. I mean, um, you know, uh uh Karen asked uh Miss Souls, you know, has anything new happened, you know in the case? And that's when Miss Souls said, Well, you know, they did find her wallet. And I I was running the camera for the interview and I was like, Oh my gosh. You know, I'm like, What do you mean they found a wallet? You know, and so she went into detail about you know what what happened. Um that was back in January. They're worn out, yeah, and and so you know, I feel bad for the family because over the years they have been had their hopes um dashed. I mean, I I remember one time they the Andrews Police Department back in this has probably been fifteen years ago, um, called a press conference. They thought they had found her, you know. They thought they had found her. I think it was uh some some remains found by a train track, if I remember right. And um so they called a press conference and uh you know, got the family's hopes up that they would finally have closure. Um the testing was done on the uh remains and it was not her. I think it seems to be an animal.

SPEAKER_01

Is she presumed dead?

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So if that is this is unbelievable, then she is she has been she is speaking from the grave here. This is unbelievable that this has happened and that couch wasn't gotten out of the dog immediately.

SPEAKER_00

And we were we were told the wallet and the everything inside was in pristine condition. So it never had been, you know, left outside or anything.

SPEAKER_01

I mean it was it was uh It ha whoever has dealt with her disappearance I mean they have to do with that couch in that house.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. No, of course, there was a lot of speculation uh during the uh uh Brittany Drexel case.

SPEAKER_01

Who owned that house at that time?

SPEAKER_00

Who owned the house that was torn down? I don't know, I don't know. I mean all this all this just came up uh Wednesday.

SPEAKER_01

Were they in that house when like the the the couch like was the house vacant? Was that couch put there at a certain year? Like where is that?

SPEAKER_00

Where was the couch? That's why people are asking why why you know why Sled and the FBI are not involved. I am still living Andrews doesn't have an investigative department, so to speak. So I mean if it's gonna get solved, it's gonna take a lot of people.

SPEAKER_01

The question is, wh how did the wallet get in the where what is the pain of custody of this house? When was the wallet in that house? How long has that house been there? You know, who was in that house last? How long has that furniture been involved in the house? Yeah, I it's just like to me, it's like wait, stop. Everybody stop doing anything in this house. Like stop.

SPEAKER_00

You're asking the you're asking the questions the police should be answering or slaves should be answering, or somebody.

SPEAKER_01

I am so tired of inept morons. I am just I've just had it with this. It's like it's almost like it's purposefully being ignored. This poor family, they're worn out.

SPEAKER_00

I mean it seems it seems to me that it would be easy to find out how the wallet got there. You just talk to the people who lived there, you know, uh you know, maybe twenty-three years ago or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

But was the house vacant? Was it just abandoned? Was this couch in an abandoned?

SPEAKER_00

Come up now when they were too. See, I can't I can't tell you anything about the property.

SPEAKER_01

I know, that's what I need to know.

SPEAKER_00

I need to know we don't have the answers to to talk about that.

SPEAKER_01

No, I know you don't know, but why isn't why don't we know what was going on on that property? That it that entire property needs to be searched. Or the property where the couch came from that got put there at some point. When did the couch end up there?

SPEAKER_00

You could find something there. Yeah, I mean absolutely. I and uh the problem is the problem is you know, we're dealing with uh a police department now, and I'm not I'm not running them now, but it's a fact that um they just cannot keep a staff at the Ambros Police Department. The the uh police chief that's been that's there now has been there, I think, five years.

SPEAKER_02

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_00

And and that's the longest a police chief has been there for. Usually they would, you know, lose a police chief every year or year and a half or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Um that's ridiculous.

SPEAKER_00

So yeah, that uh so we're gonna see, you know, I mean, maybe this will spark uh sled to step in. I don't know. I wish they would. I wish they wouldn't, you know.

SPEAKER_01

No, I need to step in. That's what needs to happen. I gotta go over there.

SPEAKER_03

Ladies and gentlemen, when Nancy Grace retires, we now found her replacement.

SPEAKER_01

It's just simple questions. Excavation. Stop everybody to stop what you're doing. We need to excavate find the custody of this couch. I mean, like the couch is evidence, everything's evidence, the whole house is evidence. I I'm I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_00

Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

All right, Scott, we're out of time. I'm so sorry, but tell me real quick.

SPEAKER_00

Because it it's been kind of kind of no, but what I would like to do is I I need to find out the exact address of this lot that's being in a house. Because I want to go there. I want to go there myself and and see, you know, maybe talk to the code. Who owned it? I don't know if you're not going to be able to do it. This is like this is records and talk to a neighbor or something. Was it a rental?

SPEAKER_01

Like what the hell?

SPEAKER_00

Well, maybe, maybe by the time I talk to you next Friday, I can have a couple of answers. You're on the case. I would I would know I want to go talk to the neighbors of the house. Yes. Where they're absolutely there and and you could solve the murder. I don't know if I'll solve the murder, but you know, but at least maybe try to figure out you know who was there when the when the wallet was placed there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And that could be, you know, uh something. So anyway. But yeah, I mean, no, I don't mind using it all the time for that because I mean that that's that was a big thing. Everything else is boring budget talk and stuff like that. Okay. Um I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_01

We'll have to recap next Friday. Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

We'll do that. Well, you have a wonderful weekend.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, you too. We'll talk to you soon.
