SPEAKER_07

What? No man on a mission?

SPEAKER_05

This is your first song? I bought it in 1863. When it was first top of the charts? Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_06

It was the first one ever recorded. So I was just No, you asked me a question. I asked the mic. I can't see how long you've been here. What's that?

SPEAKER_07

You can't talk until you know you're like going like this.

SPEAKER_06

You asked me a question.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, but we didn't really want an answer.

SPEAKER_06

It was a I got it. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Are you saying? Are you K is the very first recorded song?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. 1860. Wow. This isn't a good thing. That wasn't your first hearing. Well, I my voice was a little off.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_05

That was an exercise in futility.

SPEAKER_06

Well, anyway.

SPEAKER_07

All right, boys and girls. Boys and girls. Um, yeah, Magadon's here. I'm here. What's going on with this redistricting?

SPEAKER_06

It all depends. You know, I figured out one thing about politicians.

SPEAKER_07

Have you heard anything from Magedonia?

SPEAKER_06

Oh, yeah. Yeah. I've got an inside track.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

Megadonia says it's all screwed up. I'm in the inner circle of Megadonia.

SPEAKER_07

I'm in the inner circle at circle K. Not in Magadonia. I hear that.

SPEAKER_06

My gas deal.

unknown

I love it.

SPEAKER_06

We're all in the inner circle somewhere. You know?

SPEAKER_07

All right. What's your inner inner magazine?

SPEAKER_06

It all depends on.

SPEAKER_05

I'm an outer. Just saying.

SPEAKER_07

Outer circle. Poor Magadon didn't get a word out.

SPEAKER_06

No, that's fine. No, I don't I'll keep going. You all done? Yeah, it's your turn. No, seriously. It all depends on who you talk to. I mean what do you think? Um come on. Honestly, I th I think it's pushed a little bit too fast, okay. But I understand the reasoning behind it.

SPEAKER_07

You understand the mandate from Trump?

SPEAKER_06

Yes. And of course, uh you know me and Trump. So pretty much whatever he wants. I I haven't we've all have. We we've talked about this a thousand times on the show in the last seven years.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

We stop second guessing him. Because every time we think we know what we're talking about, we're so sure he's wrong and we're right, we end up being wrong. So he's got a reason for doing this, and I think it's above most of our uh intellectual reach. And so we can argue among ourselves, but it really doesn't make a damn bit of difference because uh my texts I get one person say it's right, but we need to do it. Next one says it's wrong, don't do it.

SPEAKER_07

But people like to say it's because of the Constitution. And what I'm just saying is uh it's always been against the Constitution to draw districts according to race.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So that means we were always unconstitutional.

SPEAKER_06

Always doing it wrong. And it wasn't for me, and of course I don't follow that.

SPEAKER_07

But if no one complains about it, no one deems it uh unconstitutional via the Supreme Court.

SPEAKER_06

I think it was kind of a deal made, whatever. We'll give you one district, leave us alone. But uh you know, uh in the midterms, I mean, looking at from me, my little shallow alleged mind. Alleged mind. I beat Nick to the point this morning. From from my shallow minded position on the perch of the tree way out on the end here, I think it's geared more for the midterms. That's just my thinking outside the box. Okay. And the midterms everybody's saying is it could be up for graphs. There's a lot of different seats, there's a lot of different things happening. So if we if it helps us a little bit in the midterms, I guess maybe. Um I I know it's a little confusing for a lot of people, but a lot of people aren't connected like you and Nick and and me to a certain degree. But I'm hearing that it's strictly the congressional race as well. Who am I connected to? Liz. Really? The keyboard that can shut me off anytime you want. That's a connection.

SPEAKER_05

That's all you're giving me is Liz.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's it.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry.

SPEAKER_06

You want more?

SPEAKER_07

I'm your outer circle. I'm your outie. I've seen the innie. I'll stay in there.

SPEAKER_06

Stop it. Stop it. It's a family show. My sisters could be listening from Connecticut. They're they're in they're in Connecticut. Yeah. From Texas and Florida.

SPEAKER_07

Look at that.

SPEAKER_06

They're gonna be up there because I'm going up over the weekend. You are from my ex my ex-wife's celebration of life.

SPEAKER_07

Aw.

SPEAKER_06

And so they're they flew in from Texas and uh and and Florida.

SPEAKER_07

How's your son feeling? Is he recovered?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, he's it actually it was pretty much every I just made a drama out of it. I was nervous.

SPEAKER_07

You scared the living daylights out of all of us.

SPEAKER_06

Well, he scared me by not saying. Or telling me the truth, I guess.

SPEAKER_07

Or telling you the whole story.

SPEAKER_06

Telling me the whole story wasn't the whole story, as far as I was. It was an appendix. But it was the whole story.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

How do you hit a colonostomy and find out you get a bad appendix?

SPEAKER_07

I don't know. Nobody knows that. I didn't know that went up that far.

SPEAKER_05

You don't know that song?

SPEAKER_07

The knee bones connected to the I didn't know my appendix was connected to my.

SPEAKER_05

Appendix bones connected to my. Apparently. Well, evidently my son's is. Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Well, it was, and that's why it had to be removed.

SPEAKER_05

It's right there in the song. My appendix bone is attached to my tailbone. Sing it. If you follow all the way through, most people don't make it past the weight because we don't want to go there. Don't want to go there. But it's the appendix bone is attached to your tailbone.

SPEAKER_07

Is it? No.

SPEAKER_06

So this is what I mean, folks. How do you know who's telling the truth?

SPEAKER_07

When you get a colonoscopy and they see your appendix, Houston, we have a problem.

SPEAKER_06

Well, I think my son paid extra for the longer scope. You know, they usually run on a line after boats. Well, that little line with the scope on it only usually goes six feet. But my son added another two feet, so he got all the way.

SPEAKER_07

Is it six feet? That's a long one.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, come on. See, this is what I mean. People are listening to this show thinking they're gonna get something.

SPEAKER_07

How far did they go in a colonoscopy?

SPEAKER_06

All the way.

SPEAKER_07

No, they don't.

SPEAKER_06

To the appendix.

SPEAKER_05

As far as they need to.

SPEAKER_07

I want to play this for you guys. This is um the America's mayor, Rudy Giuliani. Yeah, yeah. Oh, see, see?

SPEAKER_04

And I also had a very, very, I believe, for me, a very significant spiritual experience. Uh at a time in which I was, I don't know, I'll have to officially find out from Dr. Maria if I I don't think I was unconscious, but I was in a state of like, you know, out of it. And uh so I would equate it to a dream uh of my um being online headed for um I can't say headed for heaven, headed for a trial. I think it would say for a trial with same Peter. That was a very, very significant intervention by my Peter. I have my own Peter. Peter Powers, Peter J. Powers, my friend of uh my lifetime, along with uh uh Monsignor Alan J. Black, whom I also had wonderful conversations. And uh Peter Peter said some very significant words and um I made sure as soon as I woke up I started telling people and then I oh man it is a commercial wait ten more seconds so he he was like in and out kind of like at twilight. I recorded it in part, Andrew recorded it, and I also as soon as I could wrote wrote it out so that I so that I wouldn't uh forget it. And it's meant a lot to me, and I've been reflecting on it quite a bit. And I do want to have the right time to describe it correctly. I don't want to embellish it, I don't want to deny what what was what was there. But it was very uh and I I did uh shortly after get a chance to discuss it with a wonderful, wonderful priest. Uh we spent in fact he spent about an hour and a half so I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he's back and he sounds strong. You know, he had a uh a very serious uh pneumonia uh situation and he said he was in and out of consciousness going through it. They saved him. He looks great. He sounds strong. He was podcasting and he seems very moved by by this experience. Now, uh is his friend Peter powered has he passed? Because he was saying I know.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah. That's what I was kind of taking. I was like, wait a minute. Is he having a near-death experience? is what I'm thinking.

SPEAKER_07

I think he was getting a message.

SPEAKER_05

By the way.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, it is a late friend. Okay. And it was his right hand man when he was running for mayor, and he died from lung cancer in 2016.

SPEAKER_05

Not that long ago, potentially.

SPEAKER_07

And um I mean it wasn't looking good for Rudy. It really wasn't. So he hasn't revealed what he said. No. But I don't know. Did you ever experience that? Like a moment when someone gives you a message in a dream.

SPEAKER_06

No, but I experienced something similar.

SPEAKER_07

You did?

SPEAKER_06

Back I think it was 71, 72, 73. Um, my I had just taken my motorcycle out of storage and my wife didn't know it. And I took it down to work, and on my way home, a car came down out of a side street, stopped on the white line, and I was doing about 35 miles an hour. It's a 25, 30 mile an hour zone. So I was probably at the speed limit or a little over. And so she stopped, so I just kept going. And just about 10 seconds before I got past her, she pulled out and stopped on the yellow line, totally blocking my side.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_06

And I laid my bike down and went underneath. This was a big Buick estate wagon, and I totaled the front end of the car with my bike.

SPEAKER_07

Wow.

SPEAKER_06

I was I couldn't walk for six months, but when the police showed up six months? I I was in oh yeah. I was I was in laid up for six months.

SPEAKER_07

Wow.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah, I couldn't I didn't know that. Oh yeah, miss was major.

SPEAKER_07

But anyway, is this in your book?

SPEAKER_06

It's gonna be, yeah. Okay. But what I did was when the cop showed up, because I wasn't wearing a helmet back then, this was in the 70s, and nobody ever wore a helmet anyway.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

So I'm standing there. Now the bike is totally underneath this big Buick estate wagon. The wheels all craved in, the hood is all bent, and I'm directing traffic.

SPEAKER_07

Around.

SPEAKER_06

I'm directing traffic around. So the cop showed up and said But you couldn't walk for six months. So how I was well, I don't know, shocked whatever it was, I don't know. And all I know is I was directing traffic, and when the cop showed up, he wanted to know where where the guy was. Is the guy still underneath the car? And he said, Where's the guy that's got the bike? Whatever. And I said, That's my bike. What do you mean? I said, That's my bike. It made me lay down, and and and when the uh the uh ambulance got there and everything, yeah. They rushed me to Mary Hedge uh to um Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, uh-huh, and I never walked again for six months.

SPEAKER_07

What the heck?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, yeah. I was you were surging on adrenaline. I was something, I was directing traffic, and the cop did not believe me until the girl, she was just got her license.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_06

Doreen Levine owned the great big auto body company there in Manchester. Yeah. Oh, big company, and they're still major big now. And uh she just got her license and panicked, and so the cop wanted to know where the guy was with the bike. I said, That's my bike. He said, No way. When he finally, the girl says, Yeah, he just hit me. You know, yeah, he laid me down, and that was it. Dr. 10 was like, I don't remember what his what his nationality was, but when he shows, you know Jose Jimenez? Yeah, well, Dr. 10 had that kind of an accent, uh-huh. And so he comes in and says, I said, hiya, Doc, trying to mimic Jose Jimenez, and it was his real accent. And I said, Oh my god, that was terrible. But anyway. Is that in the book? Yeah, well, part of it is, yeah, but the thing was me directing traffic. So that was the closest I ever came to anything like that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

I don't remember a thing. I don't remember hitting the car. Uh I don't remember directing traffic. I remembered going into the hospital and they had a big set of sears cutting all my clothes off.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And because I was kind of halfway too, and then I had a black and blue from underneath my left, my right, right underneath my left, my right armpit all the way down to my knee. Wow. Black, totally black and blue. Yeah, and Pat and my ex-wife said that's the only time in her life she knew right where I'd be. She popped me up when she went to work and I was here when she got home. That was the best part of her life.

SPEAKER_07

It's like, what do you call a cow with no legs? Oh yeah. But anyway, that was ground beef. I know. Don was ground beef. All right. So we're gonna do the trivia? Yeah, when we come back.

SPEAKER_05

By the way, they stick that thing up your butt four to five feet.

SPEAKER_07

Wow, you're close. Yeah. Yeah. He asked for the six feet. You got the snake's butter. We'll be back in a moment.

SPEAKER_02

SPEAKER_05

It will be, but first first, yes, yes, yes. Hold on. Uh, this is Megadon Sisters. We understand he's been doing a lot of talking, and we think we should clear some things up.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, thank you. This ought to be good. This ought to be good.

SPEAKER_05

They haven't cleared anything up yet, so maybe they're arguing about who gets the text next. But I said, okay, who's the favorite out of the two? And then what are you clearing up? So I'm waiting for a response.

SPEAKER_06

I love it. Make sure you tune in and clear this up at 1030.

SPEAKER_05

Yes, that'll be on the Gwan Beck show, I'm sure.

SPEAKER_07

All right, we're gonna play Red Hat Mega Don Trivia here. The budget blinds text line is open 843-798 TALK. 798-8255. We'll choose the third correct answer to this trivia question.

SPEAKER_06

Today we're doing some what we call current events. Oh. And it's got the Trump fight clock. Wall clock. Oh, that's what you can wear.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, that's the one the Red Hat's America hat.

SPEAKER_06

The lapel pin. The lapel pin. The 2025 Trump coin, a 94.5 T-shirt, t-shirt, and the wall clock. Trump fight, wall clock.

SPEAKER_07

The fight, fight, fight.

SPEAKER_06

And uh last week the winner was really happy he got the last garbage truck. So he said, that's really great. Okay, so current event, folks. This is something that if you have a TV, you gotta know the answer. What music did China play at the end of the state banquet dinner to honor Trump? What was the music they played to honor Trump at the end of the state banquet dinner? Super current.

SPEAKER_05

You know what? I can guarantee it was not the vapors turning Japanese.

SPEAKER_06

That should be easy because it's uh everywhere, everywhere you read, it's there.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. I don't know the answer to this because I didn't see it. Oh, come on.

SPEAKER_06

No way.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I I'm gonna guess, but I won't guess loud.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_07

I just only kidding, Nick.

SPEAKER_06

Stop it.

SPEAKER_07

I'm gonna guess what it was.

SPEAKER_06

I'm gonna guess too.

SPEAKER_05

All right, here what number texture do we need? Three. I was just checking. Three. As in how many times President Trump has won the election.

SPEAKER_07

You want to know something?

SPEAKER_05

Yes.

SPEAKER_06

Anything.

SPEAKER_07

We have a picture of that fight, fight, fight.

SPEAKER_06

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Did you ever really look at it? Yeah. Yes. I didn't realize. The presidents? You just thought it was the Secret Service? Because I have uh I have trouble seeing far away.

SPEAKER_05

The great president.

SPEAKER_07

I just realized that was George Washington back there. Teddy Roosevelt, Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln, and I can't make out who's behind him.

SPEAKER_05

It ain't Bill Clinton.

SPEAKER_07

No, I can't I can't see who's but who gave that to us? Someone gave that to us. And I just realized it's not the original picture. Did you realize that? Yes.

SPEAKER_06

I never looked at it. Was it Caroline?

SPEAKER_07

Oh. Caroline.

SPEAKER_05

I only looked at the original. Was it Carol Jean who gave it to us? I don't remember.

SPEAKER_07

And she probably whoever gave it to me probably was like, oh, she wasn't too impressed with it. And and I was like, oh my God, this is so great. No, I love her. Oh, I loved it right away. But I did not notice that they're the instead of the Secret Service agents, they were swapped out for the presence.

SPEAKER_05

Well, speaking of Carol Jean, uh, shout out monthly Catholics for Freedom of Religion Rosary in America this Sunday, May 17th, Warburg Park, 3 p.m. Also joining a prayer of the uh gathering the National Mall in D.C. to celebrate redication 250, a national jubilee of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. So either you can go to D.C. or Warburg Park, bring your folding chairs. There you go, Carol Jean. Happy to help.

SPEAKER_06

I'd like to say something about Carol Jean also. She's awesome. She was one of my red hat ambassadors, and she has given out over 250, I believe, hats. Wow. And so she's got hats given out to everybody, and she has really helped put his name around this area big time. And we went with her, my Patty went with her with the nurses, the uh nurses South Carolina do things like that. We went up to uh I think it was the Florence uh National Cemetery and put Reese on the on the uh cemeteries up there. Yeah. So Carol Jean, thank you for everything you've done to help me out personally.

SPEAKER_05

Lisa, the football mom's the one who gave us that. And I know I'm so sorry. We get so much stuff from people. I sometimes look around, it's like I can't.

SPEAKER_07

I did not know that.

SPEAKER_05

I know. And after she said, I was like, oh yeah, that's right. Dang it. I feel like an idiot. Sorry, Lisa.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry, Lisa.

SPEAKER_05

But it is hanging up, we love it.

SPEAKER_07

But you know what? It's a gift that keeps on giving because I just realized. I don't even know when she gave it to us.

SPEAKER_05

The old hickon on the other side of the glass.

SPEAKER_07

I just realized I can't see. So I am a hickon for sure.

SPEAKER_05

Send the hickens.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I can't see. I can't see. So I'm a hickon. I I never noticed that. Wow.

SPEAKER_06

So just to clear everything up with my sister's Pam, Pam is the favorite.

SPEAKER_07

Okay, there you go.

SPEAKER_05

You said that like out loud, like in the outer circle. Well, my I'm sure my other two sisters. Well, his favorite depends on who he's talking to at the time. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of things to clear up. Feel free to ask. Well, he just said it's Pam. So, other sister who has no name apparently. Yes, somebody bought this. This was their first music purchase. What year is this? Early early 80s. It was G-Ray, by the way.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my god. My sister was obsessed with that.

SPEAKER_05

Really?

SPEAKER_07

And kiss. So there you go.

SPEAKER_05

Part of that Ted Nature.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

You did tell me that. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. She used to be cool.

SPEAKER_06

That picture I sent you, Nick, that you recognize the people? Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Todd Howers from Ace First.

SPEAKER_06

That was Tom. Do you know Tom Grogan?

SPEAKER_05

Uh the name sounds familiar.

SPEAKER_06

I guess he used to be a pretty good band player. I don't know a whole lot about him. Okay. But he knows all these guys personally. Okay. And he was, I think, at the House of Blues, but I'm not sure where they were. Okay. And he was there and he gave them I had given Tom some hats as an ambassador. And they I guess he lives in San Diego or back in California. So Tom gave him two hats. And when he gets home, he and his wife are gonna take pictures and send me the picture.

SPEAKER_05

Well, I follow Todd Howorth on on X, and I can tell by his post. Oh, he is Definitely like mine.

SPEAKER_06

Well, then you can let him know. You can say something that Tom Grove gave him one of my hats and see if what how what he says. I will.

SPEAKER_07

Tell him you know Magadon.

SPEAKER_05

I will. The guy that gave him the hat. I mean, he he recorded albums and toured with Ace Fraley, but hey, I know Magadon. Did you ever write a song for them? I'm gonna trump them there.

SPEAKER_06

Did you ever write a song for them? Who? Any of those big names you just said? I wrote a song for you wrote a song for me, so guess what? I'll leave it there.

SPEAKER_07

Tell him you wrote a song for Magadon, and here it is.

SPEAKER_05

I'm not gonna do that. Why not?

SPEAKER_06

Why? Well, Tom and his. Why is it weird? I think they know each other pretty well.

SPEAKER_05

Do they? Well I'm guessing. Hey, guess what? Guess what? People know things. They know the answer to your trivia. And we got ourselves a winner. It's Kevin the traffic guy. All right. So uh I'm waiting on a t-shirt size because he's busy at work. I get it. Uh, and they're not allowed to use our cell phones. I won't tell. Anyway, so uh he knew the answer to your question. So go ahead and repeat the question and fire off that answer.

SPEAKER_06

Okay. What music did China play at the end of a Trump banquet in honor?

SPEAKER_07

Can I make a guess?

SPEAKER_06

Sure.

SPEAKER_07

I think it's YMCA.

SPEAKER_06

And you are right. It's YMCA.

SPEAKER_07

I can't believe they played it. Were they doing it? It was the or were they all doing the Trump dance, or were they actually?

SPEAKER_06

It was the military band that played a rendition of it. The military band.

SPEAKER_07

That's over the top funny. Is that trolling? No, it's respect. Respect?

SPEAKER_05

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Why would it be trolling?

SPEAKER_07

It's like.

SPEAKER_06

I couldn't believe it when I looked it up. I said, Chinese military band.

SPEAKER_07

I can't even imagine. I'd have to leave how to do it. Anyway. Wow.

SPEAKER_05

Got a sister popping in. Whatever. The reality is Linda's his favorite sister, and that's okay because Linda's my favorite sister as well. What's sad is myself and Don look so much alike that one of his customers once bought me a drink before he knew who I was, who I was, stating I looked like his twin twin sister. But a hundred years younger.

SPEAKER_06

That was Sam Reddy in the bar, my in at the at the bar at the Griss Mill restaurant, the Poe Mills pub. She was sitting there. Sam Reddy was the head of the New Hampshire Home Builders. Uh-huh. And he he was a good friend of mine forever and ever. When the first time they came in to New Hampshire, Bob came in and sat over at the bar. I'm sitting there. Sam Reddy bought her a drink the way I remember it and said, Is that your twin sister? Now I'm 79 and I think she's 65 or something. Okay. 15, 18. I don't know how long, but big difference. And she says, I hated that guy from the minute he did.

SPEAKER_07

Is that why you say I you treat me like I'm your little sister? Yeah. Because you have a little sister my age? Yeah. Oh, see. Well, yeah. I see you as my papa.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, come on. Now that's getting a little funky here. Papa. That's only kidding, Pam.

SPEAKER_05

It's funny. I always think of you as a creepy guy who cleaned up the school after we left.

SPEAKER_07

Or or hangs out at the Target dressing room.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Funny little drives a white van with no windows.

SPEAKER_07

Exactly.

SPEAKER_06

A little story about meeting my family for the first time. We're all in Orlando. And uh She's very upset. She's only 63. Okay. That's wrong. Okay. Well, all right. So we go back to Tampa. And Pam and my other Karen didn't take a liking to me and DJ. But Linda and Barb did. So we all went back and we stayed at different hotel rooms.

SPEAKER_07

Who doesn't like you? Well, they I don't know.

SPEAKER_06

They thought I was coming into their life to take all their jewels away or whatever. I don't know. It doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_05

So you're a jewel thief, too?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. So Linda and Barb, DJ and I stayed in one hotel room with double double beds. And then P Pam and Karen went somewhere else. Now my sister's husband was a Navy submarine guy, also. And he worked on the periscopes and stuff. So we gotta. And so when we're all leaving, he didn't know for sh he never knew about me. And they've been married for a long time. So his last comment, and Barb will probably chime in on this. His last comment as he was leaving, he better be your damn brother. If we're all in the same room together, I would say so. But we we got we got to be close, Linda and and Barb and I, and and they thought that my mother was dying of cancer or they were getting a divorce. Uh-huh. Because every time Barb would call my mother, she would start crying. That was after I sent her the first letter.

SPEAKER_07

Oh.

SPEAKER_06

And so they had this intervention.

SPEAKER_07

So when they had to tell, hey, I got something to tell you.

SPEAKER_06

They they had well Barb said it was one of the following, and one of them was an unknown sibling. Barb figured that out. Cancer, getting a divorce, or whatever. And so Barb and and so now Patty, they reminded me today, they did not like Beth, the girl I was going out with when they come up. In fact, they got me drunk and kept me away from the party.

SPEAKER_07

Was that that young girl? Yeah, I showed yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Anyway, they they didn't like her at all. Beth. I didn't like her either.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't like her either. What were you thinking? Or smoking or drinking?

SPEAKER_06

So they left a note on my refrigerator of the kind of a girl or woman I should be with.

SPEAKER_07

Oh.

SPEAKER_06

And that Patty checks off every mark.

SPEAKER_07

Oh.

SPEAKER_06

And Barb reminded me of that this morning.

SPEAKER_07

Oh.

SPEAKER_06

What was wrong with Beth? Someone who knows how to beat your everybody thought she was a gold digger. That's see, that's the problem. She was 14 years younger. And I had three restaurants and cars and motorcycles, and you know, I could come and go, do everything. And everybody well, my sisters especially, thought she was just a gold digger, and I didn't need to be with her.

SPEAKER_07

Women can sniff out at a gold digger.

SPEAKER_06

So anyway, that's but but Barb and Linda have always been close. And when I flew with the Red Barons, we were in Texas.

SPEAKER_05

I thought there was only one Red Baron.

SPEAKER_06

There was four of them. I thought Snoopy got it. Oh yeah, Snoopy wasn't involved at all. He turned everything over to Sonny and Randy. So we went to Texas and and pa um Linda came to the Texas Air Show and I introduced her to all the friends. I was down here and I flew out with him. And it was just so many times we've done things. It's it's uh I'm so happy that I met him. And that's gonna be Barb and Linda are helping me put something together on my new family. That's gonna be one chapter in the book.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

And Barb can remember she got a hold of the pilot on the airplane as we were landing with 300 people on board. And the pilot, I don't know how she did it, but whatever. The pilot gets on and says, Well, welcome to Orlando International Airport. This is uh Captain John Beaner. Uh we have two special people on board and one is Donald Baum meeting I'm gonna lose it to meeting his mother for the first time. Oh and the whole plane was crazy. Yeah, I couldn't see, DJ had to help me off the plane. When we got to the end of the w jetway, yeah, not a single person on that plane left. They were all waiting for me to come off. And my sister was there, and my mother had a that's awesome. My mother had little balloons, it's a baby boy. I can't go that's freaking hilarious. Oh, baby.

SPEAKER_05

No, that's really funny with the balloons.

SPEAKER_06

I got pictures. The whole family was there with balloons waiting to see their new baby boy. How long ago again was this? I was well-seven, I think, when I met her. Okay. 48. 48. Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Wow.

SPEAKER_06

Not a single, there was almost 300 people on that plane. Wow. And not a single person, and Barb will remember they were all there. Not a single person.

SPEAKER_07

Everybody DJ all waited.

SPEAKER_06

DJ and I were the last two off the plane. I couldn't see. I was crying. I could not see my feet. I couldn't get my I couldn't get back.

SPEAKER_07

And they probably were shocked, like, why are all these people celebrating this moment? You know?

SPEAKER_06

Well, they all knew.

SPEAKER_07

Well, I mean, at that moment they knew, but before we pulled up, that made it extra special.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. So when the captain got over, knew somehow she got it to the captain, he made the announcement. I'm meeting my mother for the first time, and I'm 48 years old. And so now the single person, everybody got off the plane and they were all at the end of the jetway. That's so cool. And I come up and I lost it again.

SPEAKER_07

That's so funny. But it was, you know, that's uh you know Well, you can tune into Magadon's book when it comes down.

SPEAKER_06

It'll be nice thing in there. You have, I gotta be honest.

SPEAKER_05

Is her thing done?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. You wrote my chapter?

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, you're done.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah. But that was that that choked me up what you said about me too.

SPEAKER_05

This is how cheap he is, because I have to write my own.

SPEAKER_07

I wrote my own.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, I thought he wrote it for you. Oh, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_07

No, your letter, your letter gets like with it, gets put with it. He writes a like his side of the story, and you write your side of the story. And I forced Magadon on you, so you were probably like, Who the heck is that?

SPEAKER_05

Well, that's pretty much how it starts.

SPEAKER_06

Yeah, that's how I didn't know what the hell this guy was doing in my studio.

SPEAKER_05

I can tell you it basically starts with, there I was, cover munching my house. Who knew? My life is a month. Seven years ago.

SPEAKER_07

It was a package deal. But Megaton has to come.

SPEAKER_05

Who is this guy? Is this like her friend? Boss. Is he like, is he like a sales guy I haven't met yet? What is it? Who is this clown?

SPEAKER_07

Our agent? I know.

SPEAKER_05

And then I was like, no, I knew that.

SPEAKER_07

I mean actually, I really never thought of it that way. It is kind of weird, but I was just like, Maganon's there.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, it's like a no-brainer to me. Nick and I have talked about it. He could not figure out what the hell I was doing.

SPEAKER_07

I never really thought about that.

SPEAKER_05

He never explained anything. He just said, There's Tom, it happened to me.

SPEAKER_07

Why would I bring you?

SPEAKER_05

I don't know.

SPEAKER_06

I have no clue. And why would you keep me up for seven years?

SPEAKER_07

You're like, you know, you're like a Pomeranian. I just put you in the pocketbook and carry you around. I don't know why I brought you. I don't know. But you came. Well, it just- I asked, you showed up.

SPEAKER_05

Well, it never goes away. In that sense, you like hennapiece. I got a hen a piece. And it won't go away. Really? Yeah. They've known you for how long now? 20 years almost? Oh. We adopted you.

SPEAKER_06

We adopted you. They had to adopt me too.

SPEAKER_07

Hey, I take them back!

unknown

Take them back now!

SPEAKER_07

Before we finish, I just wanted to say Adam Morgan, remember we've been following him at the Premium Community. So listen to what he says. Meet Tom Davis, a Republican from Buford. He said, um, one of the fickle five who killed redistricting in the South Carolina state, which is not true. He didn't actually kill it. He just killed that commissary. Okay. He defends his vote saying the redistricting process is constitutionally indefensible. Listen to this, Nick. This just goes full circle to how he started. He says, no, sir, what's constitutionally indefensible is failing to correct 30 years of unconstitutional racial gerrymandering in the 6th district, which is exactly what my point was this morning. He throws out every Democrat talking point, and his Facebook post is filled with liberals effusively praising his principal stand against Trump and conservatives. He is and he assures his fight isn't over now that the special session is being called. So he's going to continue to fight it. So this redistricting thing may not actually happen. Just so you know.

SPEAKER_06

And only needs a majority.

SPEAKER_05

I know, but that's the I get a lot of things.

SPEAKER_06

It's only a simple majority. Okay, not a two-thirds. No, no, you don't need a super majority. There's enough rhinos up there to shake it up. I believe it's gonna pass easy.

SPEAKER_07

All right, well, we'll soon find out. But that was my point this morning. So I agree with Adam Morgan. Have a great weekend. Love you body.

SPEAKER_02

Thanks for listening to the Liz Calaway Show with Nick Summers. Glenn Beck is up next on Talk 94.5 106.7. Talk for the entire grand strand.
